The Hyundai HYHC-V12W/D2RN8-B heat pump has a power of 12.1 kW and can cover the needs of a house up to 121 m². It is a device that has the ability to draw existing energy from an outdoor space and transfer it to another interior, offering heating and cooling. To heat the space, the heat pump draws heat from the environment and channels it into the interior of the home in order to increase the heat of the interior space. On the contrary, in order to cool the space, it draws heat from inside the house and expels it to the environment, gradually cooling the space.
It requires a connection to a three-phase supply, since high loads are required for its use, and it consumes a small percentage of electricity from the grid, drawing the rest of the energy from the environment. This results in saving energy and money, since there is no longer a need to buy oil or wood. The use of electricity is only required at the heat extraction stage, and not at the heat transfer stage. The ratio of the energy required for the operation of the pump corresponds to approximately ¾ from the environment and ¼ from the electric current. This means, for example, that for every 3 kWh it draws from the environment, combined with 1 kWh of electricity required for its operation, we have a total of 4 kWh of useful thermal energy.
The technology it uses is air-water, that is, it uses air as a heat source and water as a transport medium. It heats or cools the water, which is then channeled inside the house.
The system is monoblock, which means that all its individual components (such as the compressor, the heat exchanger, the fans, etc.) are integrated in one unit, which is placed outdoors. This gives you ease of installation and direct connection to the water system.
It is considered medium-temperature, as the water temperature of the system can reach up to 65 degrees Celsius, and it can be combined and be equally efficient with both underfloor heating and fan coils.
Finally, in any case, the proposal for which is the most suitable heat pump based on the needs, is made by an experienced engineer. After a study, it will recommend the appropriate pump that will offer maximum performance with the lowest annual operating costs. If you choose a heat pump with more power than the building in which it will be installed, in addition to the higher initial cost to purchase it, we force it into continuous restarts, as a result of which the pump is stressed and its operating costs increase.
